Audrey Lane (E-RYT 500/level 4 Forrest Yoga teacher) has been teaching yoga since she took her first training in New York City in 2011. She draws from her Forrest Yoga background and her experience in vinyasa yoga, dance, yoga bodywork, and anatomy to bring a depth of knowledge to her teaching. She has completed extensive training in FY including assisting Ana Forrest in workshops and trainings. She believes that the most important aspect of teaching is relationship building- both between student and teacher as well as each of our relationships to our own body and spirit. For that reason, she prioritizes getting to know her students' needs, injuries, and goals, and (on zoom) even their pets! She strongly believes that all classes are a co-creation. While she is very direct with her instruction, she makes a point to ensure students know that communication is a two way street. She loves when students ask questions and communicate what does and doesn't work for them. When you come to her class, expect playful banter, personal instruction and occasional chatting before class. You can also expect that your boundaries will be honored if you want to keep your camera off or prefer less personalized instruction. Expect fun sequences with tons of up-levels and down-levels and a huge variety of poses. She can't wait to meet you and share space with you, in person or online!

What is Forrest Yoga?

Created by Ana Forrest over 45 years ago, Forrest Yoga is a practice designed to free up physical and emotional blocks in the body. Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. The practice is founded on five pillars — Breath, Strength, Integrity, Spirit, and Going Deeper.  It teaches you how to build strength safely, work with injuries, and connect more fully to your breath.
