Audrey Lane Geis found Forrest Yoga by accident after taking a class titled 'Working Struggle Free' from Ana Forrest which ended up being the most challenging class she'd ever taken. The class required her to slow down and feel while also pushing her to try things she never had before. Holding those two aspects of the practice with equal importance, Audrey knew she wanted to share Forrest Yoga with others from that very first class. A skilled educator, Audrey holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and has been teaching Vinyasa Yoga for nearly a decade since completing her first training at Yoga to the People in New York City. She is a Level 3 FY teacher and completed the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training and the Forrest Yoga Advanced Training with Ana Forrest. She's had the honor of assisting Ana internationally and has had the chance to work with many skilled FY Guardians and teachers as she pursues her 300hr FY certification. With an extensive background in teaching, she is a gifted seer who fiercely and compassionately will challenge you at your level and meet you where you are. What is Forrest Yoga?

Created by Ana Forrest over 40 years ago, Forrest Yoga is a practice designed to free up physical and emotional blocks in the body. Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. The practice is founded on five pillars — Breath, Strength, Integrity, Spirit, and Going Deeper.  It teaches you how to build strength safely, work with injuries, and connect more fully to your breath. Pose modifications are given to suit all levels of students. Expect deep breathing, unique abdominal work, poses to strengthen and heal the neck, shoulders, back, knees, and hips, as well as vinyasa combined with long held standing postures.
