Audrey Lane Geis (RYT-500, Forrest Yoga Level 4 Teacher) has been teaching yoga since completing her first training at Yoga to the People in New York City in 2011. She found her calling when she found Forrest Yoga by accident. It happened when she signed up to take a class titled 'Working Struggle Free' from Ana Forrest which ended up being the most challenging class she'd ever taken. The class required her to slow down and feel while also pushing her to try things she never had before. Holding those two aspects of the practice with equal importance, Audrey knew she wanted to share Forrest Yoga with others from that very first class. A skilled educator, she also holds a Master's Degree in Special Education. She has completed the Forrest Yoga Foundation Training, the Forrest Yoga Advanced Training, and the 300 Hour Forrest Yoga Continuing Education Training. She now assists Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco internationally in their workshops and trainings. She's incredibly grateful that she's had the chance to learn from many skilled FY Guardians and other amazing skilled mentors. With an extensive background in teaching, Audrey is a gifted seer who will fiercely and compassionately challenge you at your level and meet you where you are. She is so excited to share this healing practice with you.

What is Forrest Yoga?

Created by Ana Forrest over 45 years ago, Forrest Yoga is a practice designed to free up physical and emotional blocks in the body. Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. The practice is founded on five pillars — Breath, Strength, Integrity, Spirit, and Going Deeper.  It teaches you how to build strength safely, work with injuries, and connect more fully to your breath.

Join Audrey for this LIVE ONLINE workshop via zoom! This interactive workshop starts with a 90 minute, All Levels yoga practice aimed at helping you to down regulate your nervous system and get grounded and calm. Following the practice, Audrey will host a 90 minute training and Q&A session geared towards teachers. Audrey will share her best tips and tricks for teaching effectively online and letting your magic and spirit shine through online platforms.

ALL proceeds of this event will go to Yoga to the People- Tempe. ANYONE can join for both parts of the workshop. However, if you only want to join for the movement portion, you're welcome to! This event is by DONATION- the suggested minimum donation is $30. To sign up at a different price point, please email Carly@yogatothepeople.com.
